The Plan of Salvation

What Is The Plan of Salvation?

God gives us a clear plan for being “born again”.
God prepared a plan to enable us to become like Him. The plan includes the Creation, the Fall, the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and all the laws, ordinances, and doctrines of the gospel. This plan makes it possible for us to be perfected through the Atonement, receive a fullness of joy, and live forever in the presence of God. First, we must acknowledge God as the Creator of everything, and accept our humble position in God’s creation.

8 Steps to Salvation

The Revelation

GOD IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS

Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

The Recognition

NO ONE IS GOOD ENOUGH

Romans 3:10 “There is no one righteous, not even on;”

The Reality

WE ARE ALL SINNERS

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

The Repentance

TURN AWAY FROM SIN

Mark 1:15 – “Repent and believe the Good News!”

Luke 13:5 – “But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Acts 17:30 – “God commands all people everywhere to repent”

The Reliance

GOD LOVES US, EVEN AS SINNERS

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrated His love for us, in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

The Receipt

GOD’S GIFT OF PROVISION IS ETERNAL LIFE

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Ephesians 2: 8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”

The Requirement

BELIEF AND CONFESSION SAVE US

Romans 10: 9-10 – “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The Result

SALVATION IS OURS

Romans 10:13 – “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 1:12 – “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”

Acts 4:12 – “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Interested in Baptism?

Take the first step with this prayer:
“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
